Preliminary discussion on test method for time constant of molten salt receiver based on two-lumped-elements model
It is crucial to acquire the dynamic characteristic of the receiver because the receiver often works under variable weather conditions. In this paper, the time constant of a molten salt receiver is deducted based on a two-lumped-elements model. A test method is also proposed to calculate the time constant. The model predicted dynamic response match well with the simulation results. Besides, time constants are tested and analyzed by running multi cases with different incident power and flow rate. The measured results and theoretical analysis both indicated that the flow rate has a more substantial influence on the time constant than incident power.
