Modeling of Plated Through-Hole Processes .1. Current Distribution
A theoretical model which utilized a modified Hagen-Poiseuille velocity distribution was developed to simulate plated through-hole processes. An analysis was carried out to illustrate the effect of geometric, charge-transfer, mass-transfer, and ohmic parameters on the current distribution. An experimental investigation was conducted, and the results compared satisfactorily with theoretical prediction.
