The system of chem. raw materials inventory in an Al can-producing company was assessed to optimize its management. The statistical data on storing and consumption of 3 (from 14) chem. raw materials during a 5-years period of the company operation were considered statistically managed without any non-random groupings. After removal of the extreme values by the Grubbs parametric test, the addnl. 4 chemicals were included into the study. Corrective measures were proposed. The procedure was explained on example of one of the chemicals in detail and recommended for practical use.
