Estimation of dissociation parameters of electrolytes at high temperatures from specific conductance data
A method is proposed for estimating dissociation parameters from high-temperature specific conductance data. The method avoids the need to calculate the limiting equivalent conductance (lambda(o)), which is obtained by extrapolating lambda(c) to inifinite dilution, and avoids extrapolations from high solvent densities (where complete dissociation is assumed) to low densities at very high temperatures. This technique is considered to be particularly suitable for analyzing conductance data from supercritical aqueous solutions, where a state of complete dissociation is difficult to achieve even at very high pressures (and hence, high densities).
