In this note discuss the papers I wrote together with Robert Grasselli in the field of ammoxidation. Together, we have investigated the ammoxidation of propylene, essentially on the role of Te as promoter, the ammoxidation of propane to acrylonitrile, the ammoxidation of alkyl aromatics to nitriles and we have analyzed from data in the literature the possibility to produce acrylonitrile from biomass. In the field of ammoxidation of propane we have investigated catalysts based on Sb/V/Al mixed oxides with some promoters. In the field of ammoxidation of alkyl aromatics we have investigated V/Ti mixed oxides and V/Sb/Al mixed oxides.
