Density, Speed of Sound, Isentropic Compressibility, and Refractive Index of Ternary Mixtures of Oxygenated Additives and Hydrocarbons (Dibutyl Ether+1-Butanol + Toluene or Cyclohexane) in Fuels and Biofuels: Experimental Data and PC-SAFT Equation-of-State Modeling
The measured data (549 points) of density, (rho), speed of sound, (u), and refractive index, (n(D)) are presented in this work for binary and ternary mixtures containing dibutyl ether (DBE), 1-butanol, toluene, and cyclohexane at 298.15 K and 0.1 MPa. Therefore, derivative properties such as excess volume, V-E, deviation in the speed of sound, (Delta u), isentropic compressibility, (k(s)), deviation in isentropic compressibility, (Delta k(s)), and deviation in refractive index, (Delta n(D)) were generated from the reported experimental data. Some of these derivative properties are fitted using the Redlich-Kister equation. Moreover, the measured data of density are modeled using the perturbed-chain statistical associating fluid theory equation of state. Intermolecular interactions between each binary and ternary mixtures have been discussed.
