Organic-inorganic hybrid anticorrosion coatings with aniline substituted group
Sol-gel method is the most popular way for the preparation of organic-inorganic hybrid anticorrosion coatings. Such sol-gel coatings is environmental friendly and chemical stable, showing enhanced corrosion resistance for metal substrates. Here, a saline with aniline substituted group N-(3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl)aniline (TMPA) has been used together with tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) for the preparation of organic-inorganic hybrid coating (OIHC) materials by sol-gel approach. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and potentiodynamic polarization (PDP) measurements show that the hybrid coatings exhibit high corrosion resistance on aluminum substrates.
