Magnesium hydroxide is an effective non-corrosive flame retardant and a smoke suppressant Dead Sea MFR produce material made by the Aman process which gives physical characteristics ideally suited for incorporation into the polymer matrix. In addition, a range of coatings can be applied to improve compatibility with specific polymers. Examples are provided for the use of these grades of magnesium hydroxide in EVA, EPDM and PVC.
