A NEW EVALUATION OF DITHIOPHOSPHATES CONCERNING ACCELERATORS UNABLE TO FORM N-NITROSAMINES
N-nitrosamine free vulcanization becomes a topic of growing interest with increasing demands for working place health care. The introduction of dithiophosphates in rubber chemistry offers an interesting alternative to classical accelerators concerning technological, economical and toxicological aspects; dithio-phosphates are unable to form N-nitrosamines, The presented systems give examples for optimized mixtures based mainly on dithiophosphates and exhibit a comparable physical property set to conventional systems. The design of blooming free curing systems for EPDM via dithiophosphates proves to be a technological advantage of these systems.
