Crosslinked immiscible elastomer blends BR/IR, SBR/IR and SBR/BR were examined Atomic-Force-Microscopy (AFM). The typical features of the phase morphology are imaged more reliably by the difference of the friction coefficient (AFM lateral mode) than by the difference of the height profile (AFM height mode). light optical microscopy as reference methode shows similar results.
