Glass fibre reinforced thermosetting polyesters (GRP) are extensively used in marine applications and also in chemical plant equipment design because oi their corrosive resistance, easy processability and better cost/performance ratio. The main perspective of this work is to examine the effect of such environmental conditions on polyester laminate reinforced with powder bound chopped strand glass fibre mats and polyester laminate reinforced with emulsion bound chopped strand glass fibre mats.
