The BF Goodrich Dynamic Stress Relaxometer (DSR) and its principles are described. Measurements are presented on a series of nitrile rubber (NBR) gum samples of varying structure and on corresponding carbon black filled compounds (N774). We discuss the usefulness of the instrument and compare it to other processability testing devices.
