Effect of hydrolysis of gamma-aminopropyl-triethoxysilane on interfacial coupling in polycarbonate short glass fibre composites
A new investigation of the hydroplysate of gamma-aminopropyl-triethoxysilane (KH-550) was conducted which is used as coupling agent in reinforced PC/SGF composites; it showed indirectly the interfacial properties and coupling mechanism of KH-550. The molecular structures of KH-550 hydrolysates were studied by means of DSC and IR. The tensile strength and SEM-graphs of tensile fracture surfaces of PC/SGF verified further the coupling action of KH-550.
