Dynamic properties of batch polymerized SSBR based compounds
Dynamic properties of compounds based on carbon black or precipitated silica and SSBRs produced via batch solution polymerization have been analyzed as a function of polymers structures and compared to countertypes from continuous polymerization. Dynamic spectra of such compounds indicate a better wet grip/rolling resistance balance for batch polymerized SSBRs. Tan delta values measured performing strain sweeps in shear at a low frequency have been used as indicators for rolling resistance. E " and G " values obtained respectively in compression at a high frequency and in shear from master curves have been used to predict wet grip.
