Rheological test method for polymers and use for continuous process control
The sensitive influence of polymer melt molecular structure on melt behavior has resulted in defined descriptions and test methods which permit evaluation during the production process. The continuous melt index evaluation, corresponding to average molar mass, was optimized by transfer of a scare model which takes into consideration changes in the viscoelastic behavior. A controlled flow pulsation in an online capillary rheometer gives a method to determine elastic and viscous properties in real time use.
