Glass fiber sizes with a reactive component can accelerate the crosslinking reaction of the epoxy resin directly from the glass fiber surface. With the aid of DSC and viscosity measurements, the accelerating effect of reactively sized glass fibers is demonstrated in an epoxy resin system.
