Despite many similarities, there are also major differences between gas-assisted injection moulding and coinjection, or sandwich, moulding. Employed in a consistent manner, both offer significant cost-savings potential. The savings associated with gas-assisted moulding can only be realized fully, however, by making non-injection moulding applications feasible.
