Compounding and direct processing of long-glass-fiber-reinforced thermoplastics - Low-cost, one-step process for long-glass-fiber-reinforced composites
The one-step process for compounding long-fiber-reinforced thermoplastics is a new, cost-effective method of manufacturing high-strength components. A fiber-reinforced composite is produced from polypropylene and glass fibers in a twin-screw compounder and fed to a press for direct processing.
