Synthesis and Crystal-Structure of Cesium-Lithium Cyclohexaphosphate Dihydrate

Cs(3)Li(3)P(6)O(18)2H(2)O is triclinic, , with Z = 1 and the following unit-cell dimensions : a = 7.938 (2), b = 7.674 (2), c = 9.556 (2), alpha = 113.39 (4), beta = 93.83 (4), gamma = 83.00 (4). The crystal structure was determined using 4,576 reflections leading to a final R value of 0.022. The atomic arrangement of this new cyclohexa-phosphate exhibits several unusual features of disorder affecting both cations and water molecules.
