Growth and characterization of TlInTe2
T1InTe(2) crystals were grown and purified by successive recrystallizations. A stoichiometric analysis gave maximum deviations from the nominal T1InTe, composition of similar to 5%. An X-ray diffraction study gave the following results for the structure of the obtained crystals : space group D-4h(18) and lattice parameters a = 8.494 Angstrom and c = 7.181 Angstrom. A morphological investigation of the obtained crystals revealed the fibrous structure of T1InTe(2).
