The analysis of the results of study in the field of chemical and physical photochromism for certain organic compounds from spiropyrans, aryloxyquinones, aza - and crown - containing dyes in Langmuir-Blodgett films is presented. The results of these investigations open new perspectives for development of light-sensitive recording media and reversible optical chemosensors.
