Low molecular weight compounds, dimers, and side chain polymers the mesogenic fragments of which contains the enamino ketone fragment were synthesised. These compounds the mesogen of which can exist as a mixture of isomers differet in shape and are stabilized by intra-and intermolecular hydrogen bonds and the factors which determined the appearance of the LC state were studied.
