Low-temperature methanol oxidation on a higher nickel oxide in gaseous and aqueous phase. Part I
The oxidation of methanol with a higher nickel oxide has been studied in gaseous phase as well as in aqueous solutions. Due to its higher activity the catalyst acts at a lower temperature up to 100 degrees C and under mild conditions and the oxidation yields CO2 and H2O (complete oxidation). Nickel oxide system can be applied in catalytic reactions of importance for the ecology.
