Minimization of potential measurement when operating electronic corrosion prevention system for underground pipe-lines
It is noted, that measuring pipeline-soil potential when operating electronic corrosion prevention system for underground pipelines, utilizing cathodic units, is very difficult under harsh climatic conditions. Conducted is a statistical processing of potential measurements results by ten cathodic units during six years of operation. It is shown, that it is sufficient to conduct pipeline-soil potential measurements once a year, at the same time keeping cathodic units under control.
