Improvement and mechanical design of sucker-rods' polymer cores connections with metal heads
Reviewed is a problem, related to difficulties in connecting of metal heads' polymer composite cores, which are constituent parts of sucker-rods, made of polymer composite materials, for example, from fiber-glass. Presented is a classification of the known connections, including proprietary elaborations. Described are results of durability and failure studies of connection, obtained by pressure application (pressurizing of metal part around polymer core). Proposed is an analytical expression of stated contact problem approximate calculation on the basis of Second Class Fredholm Equation with ruptured nucleus. Proposed are types of more reliable connections, covered by rights of authorship.
