Presented is an original method of thread axial force determination when making up tool-joints, using minimum initial data: teeth pitch and make-up/break-up torque, fixed during test make-up. It is shown, that proposed method enables to determine axial force without gathering significant amount of data in connection with different design, technological and operational parameters, influencing its initial value.
