Reviewed are the problems of electric centrifugal pump units application, manufactured by "Centrilift", under conditions of high concentrations of highly abrasive mechanical impurities. Data on equipment failure due to low quality and because of operatioanal causes is presented and measures for elimination of such events are proposed. Advantages and disadvantages of "Centrilift" units are noted.
