An innovative, high-performance method for production of heavy and highly viscous oil supposes the use of hollow electrically heated sucker rods. Comparisons have been made between hollow and solid rods employed at Chinese oil fields. Detailed conclusions have been made and recommended practices provided for successful use of this oil production method.
