Presented are the results of pilot operations on using LEP 6(10)kWT as physical communication lines for controlling the work of pumping units (STK RNK - LEP) during the period of 1995-1997. Reviewed are composition and operational para meters of STK RNK - LEP. Given are dynamometer and watt-meter charts, received through STK RNK -LEP. It is shown, that on the basis of watt-meter chart it is possible to automate pumping unit operational control. Conclusion is made on expediency of STK RNK - LEP commercial implementation.
