It is shown, that when drilling through carbonate formations, their intense colmataging can be observed, leading to sharp (tenfold) reduction of permeability and well productivity. Presented are the results of lab experiments and field tests on permeability recovery and enhancement in colmataged porous-fractured carbonate reservoirs.
