The present paper deals with the synthesis of a new series of N-2-pyridylthioamide derivatives where, instead of alkyl radicals, aromatic and halogen-containing aromatic groups, having a favourable effect on the antiscuff properties of oils. are introduced into presynthesized N-2-pyridylalkanethioamide molecules [1]. The aim of the present study was to search for new, hitherto unstudied compounds and to examine them as possible additives to lubricants.
