CONVERSION OF N-PENTANE ON BERYLLIUM FLUORIDE-PROMOTED CATALYSTS CONTAINING GROUP-VIII METALS AND RE
An investigation has been made of the influence of beryllium fluoride on the catalytic properties of Ru, Rh, Pd, Re, Ni and Co supported by gamma-alumina. It has been shown that the promoter increases the isomerizing properties of catalysts and suppresses hydrocracking during the conversion of n-pentane. The greatest effect is observed in the case of the promotion of rhodium and ruthenium catalysts. Beryllium fluoride facilitates a reduction in the isomerization temperature of n-pentane on a palladium-alumina catalyst.
