ANALYSIS OF HIGH-BOILING ARYLALKYLPHENOLS BY CAPILLARY CHROMATOGRAPHY
With the use of quartz capillary columns with a non-polar and a polar stationary liquid phase (SLP), a chromatographic analysis has been made of high-boiling products of alkylation of mono-and dihydric phenols by styrene. The time of analysis can be shortened, while retaining a high efficiency of separation, by using a short capillary column with polar liquid phase PEG-20M. The degrees of retention on the two SLPs have been determined, and a correlation relationship has been obtained which confirms the reliability of identification of the compounds analysed.
