An investigation has been made of the influence of the temperature and time of treatment on the activity of an alumina-rhenium catalyst. It has been established that an increase in the temperature of treatment and in its duration from 2 to 13 hr enables the productivity of the catalyst to be increased roughly by a factor of 1.5-2.0.
