Optimization of the catalytic hydroxylation of methylcyclohexene by hydrogen peroxide to methylcyclohexanediols in the presence of a homogeneous molybdenum-containing catalyst
An investigation has been made of the homogeneous catalytic hydroxylation of individual isomers of methylcyclohexane to the corresponding glycols with hydrogen peroxide in the presence of molybdenum oxobromide with the use of mathematical statistics methods. The optimum conditions for conversion of the initial cyclo-olefins have been found, and also the region of selectivity of the reaction with respect to the target products - glycols.
