Efficient and accurate methods for the computation of thermodynamic and transport properties of multitemperature thermal plasma. Part I: Thermodynamic and heavy particle transport properties
In this paper Mie present numerical efficient methods for the computation of thermodynamic and transport properties of nonequilibrium thermal plasmas. Thermodynamic dynamic properties of mono- and diatomic species ale calculated directly from partition functions. The evaluation of transport properties is based on the kinetic theory using the classical Chapman-Enskog approach to solve the heavy particle Boltzmann equation. A multitemperature model is used to consider thermal nonequilibrium.
