Medical plastics
Among the major pressures in the global medical industry are the need to reduce costs and to facilitate the design of reliable products that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Plastics are proving themselves in meeting all these requirements because of their inherent capabilities for parts reduction, light weight, transparency or colorability, sterilizability, and a full rang of mechanical and chemical-resistant properties. Their growth in the highly competitive market presages a continuation of significant progress.
