The title polymer was synthesized by free radical initiation. The H-1-NMR and C-13-NMR spectra revealed several resonances that were sensitive to polymer stereosequence distribution. Analysis of these resonances showed that free radical initiated poly(2-vinyl pyrazine) is an atactic polymer, a result consistent with data accumulated for other poly vinylheterocycles initiated free radically.
