Proponents say distributed generation is a "disruptive" technology that will force large central plants and high-voltage transmission lines to go the way of the slide rule. Sure, there＇s room for innovation. But when you get past the hype, you find some excellent niche opportunities that-in the foreseeable future anyway will be filled largely by old standby technologies.
