Assessment of protein drugs obtained by recombinant DNA technology
Recombinant DNA derived proteins are being increasingly used for therapeutic purposes. This review will discuss the assessment of these proteins in fermentation, purification and formulation processes. Applications of capillary electrophoresis, HPLC and mass spectrometry to the quality and purity evaluation of rDNA obtained proteins will be reviewed.
