Phosgene-free method of synthesis of methyldiphenyldiisocyantes and their polymeric form.
There is given up-to-date information on the process of reductive carbonylation of nitrocompounds in presence of catalysts and alcohols to carbamates. The classic catalytic system PdCl2 x 2 Py/Py/FeCl3/Fe2O3 has been modified to the simpler form Pd/I-2/Fe/Py. Process of nitrobenzene reduction with carbon monoxide to phenylcarbamate in presence of ethanol has been carried out for varying pressure and temperature, from 5 MPa to 8 MPa and 150 degrees C to 200 degrees C, respectively. Yield of nitrobenzene conversion reached 98% and the selectivity 100%.
