Chromatographic determination of regeneration effects of active carbon by supercritical extraction with carbon dioxide.
Inverse gas chromatography has been used to characterize changes of pore structure of active carbon preparations (commercial, ash-discharged and oxidized) polluted with tert-butylbenzene and regenerated by supercritical extraction with carbon dioxide. The slit-like model of micropores has been applied for description of pore structure. Ash-discharged sample has proved to be the most difficult to regenerate by this method.
