Electrochemical isolation of copper from diluted solutions on cathodes with developed surface.
There are presented results of studies on copper isolation on capacity electrodes made of graphite elements, unwoven carbonaceous fabrics, and crashed coke. Unequal distribution of current's density in such electrodes has been proved. Concept and reasons of the construction of an electrolyser for copper removal from solution as well as its operation conditions are given. According to the authors' concept, solution flows throughout a set of alternately fixed cathodes and anodes where copper is being removed in a multistage process.
