Yield and selectivity of higher alcohols synthesis carried out on copper catalyst in slurry reactor.
The relationship between the yield and selectivity of higher alcohols synthesis and process parameters was studied for modified Cu-Zn catalyst in a stirred tank slurry reactor. It was stated that the temperature increase and H-2/CO ratio decrease in the feed gas lowered the yield of methanol formation pompared with higher alcohols. Higher space velocities of the syn gas favored formation of higher alcohols.
