Influence of nitrogen, oxygen and aromatic compounds on the hydrodesulfurization process of dibenzothiophene in presence of CoMo/Al2O3 catalyst were investigated. Naphthalene and p-cresol enhanced the process but quinoline had negative impact on it. The degree of desulfurization of fuel oils can be increased by modification of raw material composition.
