Rapid methods for the synthesis of peptides have been reviewed. This includes Merrifield solid-phase synthesis, Patchornik polymeric reagents as well as solution methods like Bodanszky＇s repetitive excess mixed anhydride and methane N-carboxyanhydride methods.
