Asymptotic solution of the minimum force problem for linear singularly perturbed systems
This study develops an algorithm that yields an asymptotic solution to the problem of damping of a linear singularly perturbed dynamic system by means of control with minimum intensity. The algorithm derives the asymptotics of switching points and the intensity of the optimal control which is bang-bang. The algorithm employs solutions to two optimal control problems of smaller dimension than the original problem.
