Predictive structural control based on dominant internal model approach
A dominant internal model approach is proposed according to the dynamic characteristics of an engineering structure in frequency domain. Thus, the multi-step ahead prediction of the structural response to external excitation can be realized by using its dominant internal model polynomial, and furthermore the predictive control performance can be greatly improved. The closed-loop system stability and the robustness to the designated frequencies used in the dominant internal model are also studied. Numerical simulations have shown its feasibility and effectiveness.
