Electrochemical Characterization of Thin-Films of Ionically and Mixed Conducting Glasses
In this paper, thin films of mixed conducting glasses from the V2O3-B2O3 system to be used as electrodes in microbatteries were first investigated. Ionically conducting glasses were then studied for use in multilayer sensing systems (microsensors). Na2O-Al2O3-SiO2 glasses were chosen as the Na+ sensitive membrane while the NaI-Ag2O-B2O3-P2O5 glasses were used as ionic bridges placed in between the sensitive thin film and the collector and were corresponding to a "pseudo internal reference".
