The Structure of AgI-CsI Glass
The structure of (AgI)0.55(CsI)0.45 glass has been studied by neutron diffraction. A low-Q peak suggesting the formation of intermediate range structure (approximately 8 angstrom) was observed in the structure factor S(Q). Inspection of the radial distribution functions for glass and crystal suggests that the glass can be characterized as a framework of distorted iodide tetrahedra.
